Richard,
While you and John are discussing future hospitality room options
with the hotel management, perhaps you could inquire about the
availability next year of the Presidential Suite on the 6th
floor. It has large windows with a nice view, and an open balcony
facing south which would be ideal for locating a satellite antenna
for Free-To-Air DX'ing and demos.
My observations are that room is in disrepair and unused, but maybe
by next year it could be usable as a listening lounge / hospitality
room / etc--rather than a windowless room on the first floor with
poor radio reception opportunities.
