I concur with David that we'd have no serious difficulty filling a
3-day SWLfest schedule. I'd personally bring more speakers and
panels to the SWLfest to ensure it's filled with interesting
content. The rest of us can do more outreach as well. As David
noted, there's no shortage of relevant content. The only problems I
see are the added cost of renting the facilities, the added expenses
and time off work for attendees, and the additional burden on our Festmeisters.
Since 1994 I've been involved with bringing many speakers to the
biennial HOPE (Hackers On Planet Earth) conference, which is a 3-day
event in Manhattan that brings 100 speakers and thousands of
attendees from around the world, and I've learned a thing or two
doing that. http://www.hope.net

The radio listening hobby is so rich with so much history and sub
genres that I seriously doubt that would be a problem. But if that
were the case the time could be filled with field trips to stations
and historic sites.
But I do worry about John and Rich having a nervous breakdown.
