Hello, The loop works well if you follow their mounting suggestions and keep it away from structures. I was able to even pick up VLF stations with it. It does not completely eliminate the noise I have on Long Wave, but works well on AM Broadcast and Shortwave. I picked up a number of Long Wave Beacons and Navtex (518 KHz) stations.
I have a 7-1/2 foot C/Ku dish and have done some TVRO Dxing with Domestic TVRO satellites and International satellites over the North Atlantic. There are some interesting "Wild Feeds" as Ku satellites are heavily used for news gathering. It is great that you can keep tabs on North Korean TV remotely and I would not be surprised if there are audio feeds for radio as well. The fun is finding the feeds and figuring out the right decoder to use. 73 Eric ----- Start Original Message ----- Sent: Wed, 19 Mar 2014 17:10:35 +1100 From: Mark Fahey <[email protected]> To: Discussion list for the Winter SWL Fest <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [Swlfest] Thanks for a great Fest > Eric, your showing of the Wellbrook Loop has ended up costing me some money! > As soon as I got home to Australia I went on the net and placed an order! > LOL.
