As WAMU apparently will close, I was looking through the entries in TuneIn (web, app) to see what other bluegrass offerings might be available. I discovered WPAQ Mt Airy NC http://www.wpaq740.com in the Blue Ridge Mountains is alive and well. WPAQ has a long rich tradition of programming bluegrass music. My CD (remember them?) collection includes one of a number of the 1940s era live in the WPAQ studio local bluegrass bands doing their thing. Marvelous stuff. With the TuneIn app on the phone coupled to the car radio via Bluetooth, I can crank out >100w into the 6 speakers while cruising down the road. Giddyup. ☺
