CQ Communications, Inc., President Richard Ross, K2MGA, provides the following: 
    EDITH LENNON, N2ZRW, NAMED EDITOR OF POPULAR COMMUNICATIONS(Hicksville, NY, 
March 8, 2007) -- Edith Lennon, N2ZRW, has been named Editor of Popular 
Communications magazine, it was announced today by CQ Communications, Inc., 
President Richard Ross, K2MGA. Lennon, who is currently the magazine's Managing 
Editor, succeeds Harold Ort, N2RLL, editor since 1996.      Edith's name may be 
familiar to readers of CQ Communications magazines and books, having served in 
various editorial capacities on several publications produced by CQ over a 
17-year span. In addition to her work on Popular Communications, Lennon has 
been Editor of Radio magazine (produced by CQ for RadioShack), the CQ Amateur 
Radio Buyer's Guide, the CQ Beginner's Guide to Amateur Radio and The Music and 
Computer Educator.      She has also been Managing Editor of several 
publications from CQ and other publishers, including CQ VHF and Communications 
Quarterly. In addition, Lennon has edited several technical
 books and was Managing Editor of the highly acclaimed CQ Amateur Radio 
Almanac. She also does freelance writing in the media industry.      "Edith 
brings more than a decade of publishing and hobby radio experience to this 
position," said Ross. "I am confident that she will be able to make a good 
magazine even better."    
  "Today, the listening hobby has expanded beyond just radio," said Lennon, 
"including streaming audio on the internet and other sources. One of my goals 
is to broaden the base of Popular Communications to include all of these new 
information sources as well as traditional over-the-air radio." Lennon assumes 
the editorship of Popular Communications with the June 2007 issue.
