BibleDesktop has great potential - I am recommending it on the NET bible for Sword site. And DM is a lovely guy to work with. One thing I mentioned a while ago was the need for BibleDesktop to open with the same passages displayed as when it was shut down. DM said that this is on his to-do list. Paralell view you mention - and this really is essential. The NET bible includes maps and so far we have no way to handle these on Sword although provision for them has been talked about for years.
