Barry, With an OSIS module you should be able to use the sanctioned <figure> tag similar to:
<figure src="images/whatever.jpg" /> The path is relative to the module DataPath. For example, the above image, in the KJV module would be located somewhere like: modules/texts/ztext/kjv/images/whatever.jpg We had a module somewhere for testing images in frontends...
