I guess the wiki has done what wikis do - it has grown and has content which does not fulfill the original intention but is perfectly appropriate to be contained in the/a wiki. My suggestion is not to clear out as such but move around and create clearer separated spaces. The original webpages of Crosswire are a mess of old and unmaintained stuff, the wiki in turn has become much more of a focus. Let us go with that and improve on it.
