Presumably an encrypted Bible module is still printable (as well as displayable) by any frontend SWORD (or JSword) application that has a print option? Tell me if I am wrong.
Suppose therefore that a frontend application existed that has print dialog options that can be selected to print from Genesis 1:1 through Revelation 22:21, then in theory, the whole Bible text can be printed in one go, right? There is nothing to stop anyone developing a frontend with such a feature. All our code is open source. Since printer drivers abound that can print to PDF or other electronic formats, the whole text of a locked module could therefore be output to a PDF file, with no security properties preventing further copying. So what does locking a module really achieve?
