With page objects I think you can be at least as productive as with using a 
recorder.

The recorder is no longer packaged with SWTBot 2.0. If you want to use  
the recorder, you'll need to go back to 1.3, but note that the  
recorder support is nowhere complete.

On another note, using record and playback is not a really good idea.  
I'd recommend the page object/screen object pattern as described here:
