3 possible ideas... 1) Is there any interest in creating a small, light-weight ORM transparency layer for plugins? ie, then sfDoctrineGuardPlugin and sfGuardPlugin could be merged. I'm not convinced that the outcome would be optimal nor elegant, but it would certainly simplify plugins. I think this was discussed before.
2) Could symfony benefit from a dependency injector, as opposed to a factory?
