Sorry, I forgot to mention the most important bit - it's a Symfony application so ideally I'm looking for someone with experience tuning Symfony as well as LAMP.
Apologies if fishing for Symfony peeps commercially is considered bad form here, I just didn't know where else to ask. I thought it would be better to go to the source than attempt to find someone through an (expensive) agency. Maybe Symfonians.net would be a good starting point?
