Hi folks,

I primarily work as an architect/consultant with J2EE technologies,
but I've been developing an application with PHP and symfony 1.2 for
the past 5 months.

A lot of people have saved me some work with their excellent plugins.
Out of necessity I customized or refactored a few of these for my own
purposes - adding some features also. I did some of these recently
with the sfDatagrid plugin - it's very slick, but I needed to do a few
things I couldn't figure out, such as:

- add columns to my datagrid for use in building links, but not for
display.
- rather than have row actions exclusively, allow for things like
actions when clicking on a specific column.
- add columns which purely have actions related to the row
- add the ability to insert an advertisement other content into a grid
at specific intervals

I emailed the author of the plugin, but I haven't heard back yet. I
am wondering what's the best way to contribute, whether the work is
used or not.

Thanks,
Steve
