Hi Jeremy, This is more a question for the symfony users list. You may want to post it there to get more responses.
Doctrine will be the default ORM for the next versions of Symfony. Propel will still be around, specially because it is quite stable. If I were to start something from scratch, I would probably go with Doctrine.
