When anonymous users are activated SecurityContext->getUser() will return a string when no user is authenticated and a User object when they are. I find this behavior inconsistent and difficult to work with. A method should return and object or null, not an object or a primitive. I realize that I can call isAuthenticated(), but this doesn't change the inconsistency of getUser().
I propose that getUser either returns null or that an isAnonymous() method is added to the AccountInterface. -A- -- Πίστις, ἐλπίς, ἀγάπη -- If you want to report a vulnerability issue on symfony, please send it to security at symfony-project.com You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "symfony developers" group.
