I just felt like writing some fun stuff yesterday, thought that was a
good occasion to get rid of ZF at the same time. Sure Symfony follows
the same model for the time being, but I use Symfony so I don't mind
having a Symfony checkout. I mind having ZF in Symfony though.

You don't have to agree, if you don't, keep ZF in core, I'll make a
MonologBundle and those interested can delete ZF and use that instead.

As for Zend\Logger, there are no real deficiencies I suppose. I just
don't think ZF is too good at KISS. There's tons of code in there that
imo is not necessary. They've kept most of their ZF1 code too instead of
scrapping everything, which means they still have legacy stuff that grew
historically and may not make sense if you write from scratch.

It's just my point of view though.
