I am currently working on some refactoring of the component (https://
github.com/vicb/symfony/tree/cfg_refactor).

I have as some discussion with Johannes... may be I should open a PR
to keep track of this discussion ?

There are a few things that are still not the way they should be in
the current state of my branch. I'll try to come up with something
better in the nex few days and then I can start looking at XSD / Doc
generation.
