previously we basically discussed stuff on IRC at any state of the topic. this lead to a lot of back and forth and "circular" discussion during the IRC meetings as the same arguments were presented repeatedly. also it always took several minutes to get people even into the loop about the topic. also this often lead to fairly quick-shot decisions that we later regretted. the idea was that we would use the mailinglist to mature the state of discussion before the IRC meeting and more importantly ensure that there is a good summary of all relevant sides to the topic before the meeting so that the IRC meetings would mostly just be about resolving smaller misunderstandings to ensure that everybody has a common understanding of the view points and then come to a final conclusion. now the fact of the matter is that nobody besides fabien and myself are willing to invest the time to work out a proposal and post it with pro's and con's to the mailinglist. but also it didnt seem like anyone really missed the IRC meeting, because nobody opposed this "change", so i am not pushing for a meeting. but hey if there is an interest to just "chat" with more people than usual being around thats cool too. but doesnt require me as a moderator organizing things. anyone can throw up a time and date on this list. regards, Lukas Kahwe Smith [email protected] -- If you want to report a vulnerability issue on symfony, please send it to security at symfony-project.com You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "symfony developers" group.
