No title displays. When I view the browser source I have the following:

      <div id="content">
        <h1></h1>

<div id="sf_admin_container">

  <div id="sf_admin_header">
      </div>

  <div id="sf_admin_bar">

<div class="sf_admin_filter">

I'm still trying to understand how your plugin works, being new to symfony,
but none of my
changes have been able to influence the <h1></h1> output, which only
reenforces the
conclusion that the problem is really elsewhere.

Maybe there's some interaction between plugins?
      $this->enablePlugins(array(
          'sfDoctrinePlugin',
          'sfDoctrineGuardPlugin',
          'ahAdminGeneratorThemesPlugin',
          'sfJqueryReloadedPlugin',
          'sfPhpExcelPlugin',
      ));
Doesn't seem like this would be the problem, but I'll change the order of
the plugins, eliminate them,
etc to see if I can isolate the problem.

Thanks again for sharing your insights. Sorry for the long delays between
emails. I think we are about
12 timezones apart.
