Comment #2 on issue 1871 by techtonik: Google Code mirror of SymPy HG repository
http://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/detail?id=1871

I am not a git guru either, but I know HG, and Google interface for is better than default. It provides code reviews. You can make your own public clone or HG repository right here. SymPy already hosts HG repository at http://hg.sympy.org/sympy-git.hg so I wondered why there is an SVN and a separate HG server if everything can be hosted here?

I do not know how well git translates, but I've heard about 1:1 changeset
transformation with http://hg-git.github.com/
