@markdewing: The intended usage model is primarily (1), but with
functionality to create python interfaces, and it should compile without
manual intervention. The generated code will do numerical calculations, so
it will not be an accelerator of symbolic manipulation if that is what you
meant with (2).
@andy4: Its great to have this many options, we should evaluate them
thoroughly before starting on the compilation step.
