So it gives the correct answer but one should use logcombine on the result. logcombine will only combines the logarithms if their arguments are positive. So:

In [51]: s = Symbol('s', positive=True)

In [52]: y = Symbol('y', positive=True)

In [53]: t = -2*log(s) + 2*log(1/y) - log(pi) - log(2)

In [54]: logcombine(t)
Out[54]:
   /   1    \
log|--------| - log(2)
   |    2  2|
   \pi*s *y /


Somehow, it does not combine the log(2).
