doesn't work

log will not retain a denominator due to autosimplification, so even if
logcombine were fixed the result, unless unevaluated, won't stay together.
var('p',positive=1)
p
logcombine(log(p)+log(2))
log(2*p)
logcombine(log(p)+log(S(1)/2))
log(p) - log(2)
