A simpler expression is
a=3; eq = 1/sqrt(sqrt(7) + sqrt(2) + sqrt(3)) + a
minpoly(eq-a, x).subs(x, x - a).subs(x, eq).equals(0)
True
minpoly(eq) stalls while either dropping the sqrt(3) or the `a` solves
quickly.
