The question is which derivative should diff mean.  If F is a
multivector function and grad is the derivative operator then

grad*F, F*grad, grad^F, F^grad, grad|F, F|grad, grad<F, F<grad, grad>F,
and F>grad are all different derivatives. In  a
future revision it is more complicated since you would have an lgrad
(left gradient) and rgrad (right gradient) where

lgrad*F is a multivector, but F*lgrad is a differential operator then
F*rgrad is a multivector, rgrad*F is a differential operator.

For example F|lgrad is the directional derivative operator.
