These are already implemented. See legendre, chebyshevt, chebyshevu, jacobi, laguerre, and hermite. There is also gegenbauer. Those are the symbolic versions (i.e., they support the identities like you mentioned). Append "_poly" to the end of the name to get the version that generates the explicit polynomial.

I'm not sure if the specific identity you mentioned is implemented, however. I'll leave this open for that.
