I'm thinking of attempting to pick up where a poster left off if it hasn't already been done. A poster wanted to implement abstract differential geometry. I think this is very doable in sympy, it'll just take some doing. I'll start working on this over the summer and see how far I can get, I mostly wanted to see whether or not anyone has done this already making the project kind of useless.
PS: I'm teaching a class in python next semester to mathematicians and the final project will probably be writing a something that interfaces with a library or is a part of a library in itself. My project over the summer is to make sure I get back up to speed on how this is done so that I can at least in theory teach the class.
