By the way, if someone wants to volunteer to handle the release this
time around (or any future time, for that matter), I would be much
obliged.  This too would greatly help us do more releases, as it's a
bit of a strain on me to do the release every time.

It's not too difficult.  You just have to follow the guide at
https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/new-release.  And I can help you
out if you've never done it before.  Let me know if you want to help.
