Hi all, I am a second year undergrad at IIT-Kanpur (Mathematics and Scientific Computing). I recently got to know about Gsoc and was spending time reading about same. I wanted to know if there has been an implementation of Fractals, as I have not seen it anywhere. If not, can someone guide me what to do as I was willing to do a project under the same topic.
I was thinking of generation of images by use of fractals. If someone wants to transfer data from one place to other, instead of sending the whole image we can send the instructions for creating that image, by use of fractals. The is just a raw idea. Any help will be appreciated. I have had courses on Real Analysis, and read about Fractals (contraction maps, transformations etc.) on my own.
