I updated that page with some easier ways to do things if you don't like getting your hands dirty with git (that's who the page is intended for). I think we should recommend people on Windows to use the Windows GitHub client, instead of trying to mess with msysgit, unless they want to get into some serious development (and even if we do GCI again, we should use GitHub's client in our guides).
