I thought at one point we did give the MediatorFactory access to the SynapseConfiguration. I guess we refactored that out. However, I'm not sure this initialization should be done in the MediatorFactory. After all we designed Synapse to allow you to programatically create a mediator chain too. The MF is meant to be just one way of creating Mediators.
