Why synce could't be linux kernel driver to support PocketPC as device with filesystem?
Match more simple do just mount instead pcpr ....

Is it possible to create virtual filesystem like smbfs to support activesync?

PS: Sorry for bad english :)
maybe this could be of your interest:

http://freshmeat.net/projects/furfs/

It uses the fuse module+library and libsynce/rapi2: some feature are missing, but seems to work well (i didn't got a lot of feedback, though) and you should be able to do random
access I/O on it.

Riccardo

PS: Please note that to enable the CeSetFilePointer and CeSetEndOfFile API you have to patch the synce-librapi 0.9.1 (http://www.infis.univ.ts.it/~riccardo/librapi.patch) or FUR
will not compiled.

Ricardo, sorry for not mentioning your great work!

Don't mind and Thank you!

Now that i have finally learned how to make a patch
(i really do hope that everyone here has forgot my first
"patch" submission ;-) ), could the CESetFilePointer and
SetEndOfFile be included in a future release of librapi2?

Thank you for your work,
Riccardo
