This is somewhat belated, but I just noticed when looking at synce stuff in Fedora that I never submitted this patch upstream:
http://svn.mandriva.com/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/packages/cooker/sync-engine/current/SOURCES/sync-engine-0.11.1-description.patch?view=markup it's a patch I added to Mandriva's sync-engine package. It simply improves the description of the synce opensync plugin to explain that it works specifically with Windows Mobile 5 and later devices. There's an accompanying patch for opensync's own synce plugin which improves its description to explain that it works specifically with wm2003 and earlier devices. I'll submit that one to opensync. With these patches, in kitchensync or multisync-gui, you see descriptions that actually make it clear which of the two plugins you should use, rather than two almost identical descriptions which talk about "Windows CE" (which is a name no-one uses any more anyway), making it almost impossible to know which to pick. -- Adam Williamson Fedora QA Community Monkey IRC: adamw | Fedora Talk: adamwill AT fedoraproject DOT org http://www.happyassassin.net ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Apps built with the Adobe(R) Flex(R) framework and Flex Builder(TM) are powering Web 2.0 with engaging, cross-platform capabilities.
