--- Comment #3 from pohly <[email protected]> 2011-09-11 12:53:42 UTC --- (In reply to comment #2) > Yes, with --daemon=no it works fine, thanks. > > Maybe my problems stems from the fact that I'm using KDE, not GNOME? Probably. Which binaries are you using? The source code of 1.2 has support for KWallet, but the binaries from syncevolution.org don't use that feature. > Indeed, the first time I used a --configure command with password I got a > dialog box for the password of my KDE wallet... which I entered. If you used the syncevolution.org binaries, then this must have been a prompt for the GNOME keyring. Are you absolutely sure that it was for the KDE Wallet? Anyway, the GNOME keyring, once unlocked, should have worked. > However, despite this, the syncevo-http-server that I started afterwards could > not get at the syncPassword, and thus the phone could not authenticate to it. > Putting the real password into the .config, rather than - fixed the issue. This might be the root cause of the problem: is the GNOME keyring unlocked in the environment in which the HTTP server runs? Perhaps storing the password worked because you unlocked the GNOME keyring by entering a password, but then retrieving it failed because there was no running X session in which the dialog could pop up? Just guessing, though. -------- Product: SyncEvolution Component: SyncEvolution MeeGo Release: unspecified Severity: normal Priority: Undecided Keywords: Status: NEEDINFO Who: [email protected] Assigned To: [email protected] Target Build: --- Flags: Changed: -------- https://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=22937 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.meego.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching the assignee of the bug.
