I've been wondering about this myself. My own motivation is that during development, I often run the command line binary without having my development version installed. If I'm not careful, I end up running the stable daemon in /usr. Now this is a somewhat unusual situation, not affecting users. Tino, why do you want to avoid daemon mode? Should we introduce an env variable an/or a global property to turn it off? -- Best Regards, Patrick Ohly The content of this message is my personal opinion only and although I am an employee of Intel, the statements I make here in no way represent Intel's position on the issue, nor am I authorized to speak on behalf of Intel on this matter. _______________________________________________ SyncEvolution mailing list [email protected] http://lists.syncevolution.org/listinfo/syncevolution
