I saw some issues like that in the past, but I am not currently aware of
a specific issue still in 1.1.1.
Do the failing contacts have something in common?
To figure that out, you have to run with an increased log level:
syncevolution --sync refresh-from-server \
loglevel=4 \
<name of your config>
Then look into the -log.html file for that session in
~/.cache/syncevolution to find the reports about a bad status for "Add"
commands. Those link to the command, which then (at loglevel 4) has
pretty detailed information about the data sent to the phone.
I understand that this is not something for the faint of heart, but
normally a user shouldn't ever run into this. If you don't know what to
look for, please send me the log file privately (compressed, can be
large).
