Unfortunately that error is very uninformative. Somehow the phone didn't
like some data that was sent to it.

Perhaps you can narrow it down? Try syncing only the calendar. Then (if
your phone has all the relevant data) copy the database from the phone
(warning, wipes out local data):
$ syncevolution --run --daemon=no --sync refresh-from-client loglevel=4 blubber 
calendar

Then try updating/adding single events and do regular two-way syncs:
$ syncevolution --run --daemon=no --sync two-way loglevel=4 blubber calendar

Does that work for some events but not others? What's the difference?
