My fundamental reason for exploring the use of syndic8 for my rss/podcast feeds is that I truly believe that this medium is the NEXT big wave that will influence markets and consumers.
I have seen this in the early days of client server applications, empowerment of users, dot-com explosion (and implosion) and the web. RSS/PodCasts just make sense and when we reach the tipping point (arguably set at 20% market saturation) this will turn the media and market on its side.
