The ducks are linked, so the position of each duck is the same relative to its layer, but the layers themselves are offset, so the ducks don't display in the same position on-screen. If you want to link the position of one duck to be (the position of the other duck) plus (the offset of the other layer) you can do that using an 'add' convert.
