Summary: Linking ducks from layers with different positions

Initial Comment:
When one tries to link two ducks from two bline layers with different positions
(i.e. position of the green duck), the two ducks are linked but have a offset
to each other.

Yes, that's how it works.

The ducks each represent the positions of vertices relative to the layer's
green position duck. Linking the ducks makes sure that each vertex will
have the same offset from the layer's position.

If the layers have the same positions, that will cause the ducks to be in
the same place, but otherwise they won't.

You can link the two position ducks if you want the linked ducks to be in
the same place.

Yes. The ducks are linked, so the position of each duck is the same
relative to its layer, but the layers themselves are offset, so the ducks
don't display in the same position on-screen.

If you want to link the position of one duck to be (the position of the
other duck) plus (the offset of the other layer) you can do that using an
'add' convert. Export one duck's position, and right-click > convert the
other to an 'add' convert.
