Category: Render Artifact Group: SVN version >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Genete (genete) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Straight Onto and Straight blend methods don't work properly Initial Comment: Using svn r1265 Straight and straight onto produces unexpected results. Specifically straight don't erase the visible area that are under semitransparent or not existing pixels in a lot of layers. Even if you add a feather to a region or circle, the layer that is below still visible. Also Straight Onto have same problem but it only erases the part of the blended layer where the layers behind are transparent and doesn't erase the non transparent areas of the below layers that are visible Most of the times those failures are corrected when encapsulate the layer except if the encapsulated layer has delimited edges (like circles, regions or outlines) A lot of examples can be shown. Please ask for them if need feedback. I attach two examples of text layer over a rectangle. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: dooglus (dooglus) Date: 2008-01-28 18:14 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1546005 Originator: NO Fixed by a series of commits from r1422 to r1458. Hopefully! Old .sif files relied on this bug being how it was, so I tried to convert them to using equivalent techniques to achieve the same result. I seem to have been mostly successful. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2008-01-28 17:58 Message: Logged In: NO The 'text' inside the 'non encapsulate straight' layer is blended with 'composite'. Changing it to 'straight' makes things render how they should, as far as I can tell. I made a bunch of fixes to this in the last few weeks. Is it all fixed now? Can I close this bug report? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Genete (genete) Date: 2008-01-05 02:28 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1874777 Originator: YES File Added: straight-onto-failure.sifz ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=757416&aid=1864292&group_id=144022 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
