it has been a long time since I update the status of 0.64.0 release
procedure. Basically the reasons have been two (and are justified ^__^):
As you already know, I've attended LGM 2013 in Madrid. it has been very
productive and meet the rest of the Synfig team worth the trip. Also I've
been busy killing bugs coming from Cairo branch basically. Still pending
some remaining bugs but the most visible are fixed.
So in summary, the current master branch includes:
genete cairo core branch
morevnaproject plugins branch
jcome terms rework
jcome canvas window sizing
genete render last frame
and various bug fixes
still missing:
eldruin tool boost revamp: the -- time option doesn't work.
morevnaproject disable keyframes: still crashing in when disabling
keyframes in package mode
morevnaproject add duck to zoom parameter in Group layer. I don't know what
is its status.
Added to this there are some bugs not related to Cairo that still need
fixing before release. Please checkout them and confirm that
someone is working on it. If we decide to release without fix and postpone
any of them to the 0.64.1 version, please let me know.
This weekend I'll announce the winner of the splash screen and will
incorporate it to the master branch.
Once the code is frozen according to above, it is needed to do a transifex
call and sprint for the translations. After that, we would be able to
release the new version.
The bug that is related to package Cairo >= 1.12 is mandatory to fix before
release, unless we want all the users that still tied to ubuntu 12.04 and
its derivatives, complaining.
Finally, if you find new nasty bugs possibly related and triggered by the
new code, please open the corresponding ticket and mark it as mandatory to
fix before release 0.64.0
