Hi Sorry for late response, menubar_toolbar branch was intended to implement standard menu and toolbar as other gtk+ applications. The single _window was just to experience and trying to understand the code of dock system of synfig, I am sorry but I have to say there is not value except for me to dig the code.
Regarding the wiki page, it's really good to have for tracing. I have only one addition to add, do you think it is better to more specific page names for this? And use the page you created as index or contents page. I promised longtime ago to move UI redesign research from forum to wiki, and of course with a formal format and in better organized way. In order to have an idea, i have cloned /jcome/sfg/menubar_toolbar, and merge it with sfg/master quite easily ... just a few conflict resolution ( termonilogy change , bones action). and build ok. Single window, similar behavior for conflicts, but do not compile cause last commit "Add a canvas widget" do not provide widget-canvas.h / .cpp I have created a http://wiki.synfig.org/wiki/Dev:UI_Redesign to keep a(nother) trace of the discussion. -- [##___l'urgent est remis a demain, l'impossible est en cours...___##] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ October Webinars: Code for Performance Free Intel webinars can help you accelerate application performance.
