You aren't the first. I've got at least 2 clients in the UK using JET to j/s 4450s. works fine.

JET runs: /opt/SUNWjet/Utils/solaris/client_management_<method>.SunOS to see if that method works.

Based on your messages, dhcp works, but grub does not. Looking at the files, it seems that dhcp is set up fine, but in the grub case, it doesn't think that the O/S you've chosen is grubable.

It checks to see if <solaris location>/boot/grub exists.

Looks like it doesn't.

Might be that you've not copied your O/S image correctly, or possibly you are using SPARC media rather than x86?

Hi, yeah, I've tried there yesterday. Wasn't sure if anyone was on it.

but:
What O/S version are you trying to install?
Trying to install vinilla 05/08 x86.

If the O/S supports newboot, then you should be using grub.
Got it, in fact, I tried grub first and it gave me this:

Note, I used client_alloc = "grub" but make_client says it wants to
bypass, using bootp. That's what made me re-think the "grub". Don't
know why it can't write over old /tftpboot/pxegrub, umask looks OK,
can't understand this error. It wants me to make a grub floppy.
Wh-h-h-at? I have made the decision to NOT add patch 119375, it's
been rolled into latest KJP, I think. Bad idea? This is patching the
image that JET wants me to do.

Thanks for your help. Apparently we are FIRST! in trying to do this
with the x4450. Can't seem to find anyone else who experienced
similar.
