That is basically the process I have seen described on a few websites. I have never done this myself though, but I would be curious about how well it works! In addition you will need to find out how/where the product dir is accessible while booted, as you need to provide the path to the flar. For a "disaster recovery" procedure you need to probably put this in an envelope with step-by-step details on how to run the instalation from the FLAR image. -- Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
