Hi Dale, Thanks for that information-- I understand the SPARC boot process better now. Still, I read in the S10 docs at: http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-1985/ggqdk?a=view "SPARC: How to Boot From a ZFS Root File System" that the '-Z' option to 'boot' will let you specify which BE to boot. I assume one would need a version of OBP that has the -Z option, if I wanted to have full control over the boot process, is that correct? The basis for my question is that I would like to demo the ZFS boot feature on SPARC internally at my company, but the only hardware I have is an old Ultra 5, and I wanted to know if it would fully support ZFS boot.
