Have you submitted a CR (Bug) for this?

The platform specific version of ipmitool should simply be included in
/usr/platform/<...>/sbin.

I'll have to try it, so far I've only used the included (/usr/sfw)
version because I didn't realize there were enhancements to the one on
the CD.
