Hi Mike, Thanks a lot, the below mentioned procedure works , the update happens and am now able to see the update_log file with the update details
Notes: a)We get error/warnings saying that the zone was not detached properly but the update happens b) Had to add some more patches to the /usr/lib/brand/native/bad_patches on the global for the update to work.
