I do not see the update_log which was why I was concerned that the
update did not happen.
I will try the below mentioned procedure and update the results.

The absence of the log, I believe, indicates that nothing happened.
c) i detached the zone and again did a "attach -u", nothing happens as in I
donot see upgrades happening.
This *should* do it. Of course, adjust the rm according to the
location of the zonepath.
# zoneadm -z $zone detach
# rm /zones/$zone/SUNWdetached.xml
# zoneadm -z $zone attach -u
