If Xorg crashes, check /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old (if a new one restarted)
or /var/log/Xorg.0.log for crash details. gdm may also have captured
details to /var/log/gdm/:0.log.
For svcs, check the logs for each service, as shown by svcs -xv.
